Have you recently experienced a life transition that is causing you stress and anxiety? A move to a new city, begininning a new job, death in the family, new marriage, retirement, divorce. New transitions, whether we describe them as good or bad, often are anxiety provoking. Sometimes we even begin to experience panic attacks for the first time in our life.
If anxiety has ever taken residence in your life, I understand. I have personal experience in learning how to live and even confront fear, worry and anxiety head-on, particularly when experiencing a life transition. Five years ago, our family moved to Indianapolis from Kansas City and during that time, i experienced probably too many transitions at once (selling a house, buying a house, moving to a new city, qutting old job, starting school, leaving old friends, and being without a job for a period of time.) I began to experience severe anxiety, even panic attacks from time time to time. Standing in front of people and having a panic attack is not an experience I would wish for anyone. Needless to say, i understand anxiety’s grips not from reading about it in a textbook but through experiencing it first hand. I worked with it and I am happy to say that I manage it well now and I believe you can too.
If there have been times when anxiety has interfered with your own peace and contentment, with working towards professional goals, as well as making decisions and taking risks, I would love to hear your story. If anxiety has ever interfered with your own relationships with family members and friends, then I would love to have the privilege of working with you so that you are able to experience the joy, contentment and peace you deserve.
